The Precedent Companies is a diverse real estate business located in Indianapolis, Indiana specializing in both residential and commercial markets. Precedent focuses primarily on four areas; Commercial Development, Residential Development, Title Services and Home Building.

Residential Development

Precedent Residential Development specializes in both high end custom neighborhoods as well as the production housing market. To date, we have developed over 7,000 residential home sites in and around Central Indiana.

Keeping with The Precedent Companies byline “Built on Integrity and Performance”, Precedent Residential Development has designed and completed some of the most beautiful residential communities in the Indianapolis area.  Diversification in both the custom and production markets allows us to accommodate all home buyers with a wide variety of price ranges.

Some of our completed communities include Windermere, Idlewood, Sandstone, Easton, Stansbury, Lincoln Pointe, Southern Pines and The Meadows. Precedent Homes was founded in 1995 to provide well-built custom and semi-custom homes for today’s changing lifestyles.  Whether you are looking for a semi-custom home in the $300,000 to $600,000 range or a one-of-a-kind custom home exceeding $1 million, our staff listens to your ideas and creates the home you envision.  The diversity of the product we offer allows each home buyer to find their dream home.  Homes in our low-maintenance neighborhoods feature open floor plans, main level master suites and plenty of space for entertaining.  Our family homes accommodate today’s busy schedules and the need for convenience. Our custom homes are designed to fit your lifestyle and the architecture of your choosing.  Each and every one of them is rich with custom detailing and quality features.  Precedent Homes is currently building in the Overlook at Thorpe Creek in Fishers, at 126th Street and Olio Road; Slater Farms in Noblesville, 169th Street and Gray Road; and Ashbury Park in Carmel, 136th Street and Spring Mill Road.
